Ajinkya is a Design Fellow at the Design Institute for Health, a partnership between the Dell Medical School and the College of Fine Arts at the University of Texas at Austin, and a second-year graduate student in design at the University of Texas at Austin. At the Design Institute, he supports a variety of engagements aiming towards improving patient experience by incorporating a user-centered design approach.
Ajinkya is also a graduate student in design at the University of Texas at Austin. His primary research interest is exploring design opportunities in the healthcare domain. Ajinkya grew up in India, where he received his bachelor’s degree in product design from MIT Institute of Design. He was introduced to health-care design while interning at IDEO, Chicago. In the past, he has also worked as a User Experience Designer & Product Designer.
When he is not at work, Ajinkya spends his time exploring local food, baking, swimming or jogging.
